Under a better writer and director, they could of had something quite special if they were willing to take some chances. This director constantly churns out "basic" movies that find a way to profit despite themselves. The rest of the cast doesn't need it as much, but Mel is in unfamiliar territory here, and could use some help. I know my father has many different sides, and they all serve a roll. That would have been really interesting to watch. I wonder if they had focused more on the 4 fathers the way "Inside Out" did with the different personalities in someone's head. It's not without it's moments, but it's definitely not re-watchable. It's worth watching it on streaming someday. However, you shouldn't spend money to see it. Well, not as terrible as I thought it would.
